Jailhouse Jonny is a magician with over 20 years of experience.

»Standard show length is 35-40 minutes .  We find this length is similar to television comedy shows and works well for most audiences. Longer and shorter shows can be tailored to each event.
 
»The show is what’s known as parlor magic.  It’s not close-up with just cards and coins and not big Las Vegas style illusions with tigers and dancing assistants appearing out of big boxes.  It is in-between,  much like a stand up comedian with a few tables. 

»Microphones and Sound System for events up to 100 people (standard electrical grounded outlet (the usual 3 plug kind)  needed).

“One of my favorite things to do is to be “the show before the show.”  I make that waiting time before the main event fun with table-side magic, comedy, balloons and more. It warms the crowd up, much like they have a comedian before the taping of a sitcom.  It also keeps your group amused if there are any delays.  It can also encourages people to get to their seats early. “

🪄About Jonny🪄

»The name Jailhouse Jonny came from Jonny’s work as a criminal defense attorney and from working at a prison. Often he would apologize to friends and family whose telephone calls he missed and explained he missed their call because he was in jail.  He has been to many of the state’s finer correctional institutions as an attorney, not an inmate.

»Jonny also performs family and kids shows as Jonny Waffles.  He was a regular performer at St. John’s Fun Fest before moving away. This is a great show for fairs, fests and church events. He keeps the adults as well as the kids entrained. He has worked as a substitute teacher and as one of Santa’s helpers at a premier mall in Madison, Wisconsin. Appearances by Santa and Mrs. Claus are available. 

»And yes,  he does love waffles, especially with fruit toppings and whipped cream.
